📰 In the News
Emerging tech is becoming a City Hall question. Incumbent mayoral candidate Scott Gillingham made a campaign promise that, if re-elected, he would create a council committee to study how Winnipeg should handle technologies like AI, data centres, e-scooters, delivery drones, and driverless vehicles. The proposed urban technology review committee would start in 2027 and look at municipal regulations, permitting, and the city’s responsibilities.
Winnipeg’s municipal election is Wednesday, October 28. Wherever you land on the issues, make a plan to vote. You can find your voting location here.
