Last week, Tech Thursday hosted the second annual Manitoba Tech Awards, and it was a smashing success. We had 205 in-person attendees. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Tech community in Manitoba.

🎮 Game Developer of the Year presented by New Media Manitoba
Awarded to the game studio that has showcased the highest standards of game development in Manitoba.

🚀 Most Innovative Technology presented by The Exchange District BIZ
Awarded to a tech startup with the most innovative technology, either hardware or software.

🤝 Impact Award presented by Skip
Awarded to a tech company, organization, or individual that demonstrates their commitment to Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) standards, or through their products and services assists other companies or society in general to make improvements in one or more of Environment, Social (diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging).

📈 Most Promising Founder presented by Minister Mike Moroz, Minister of Innovation and New Technology
Awarded to a dynamic early-stage founder recognized for their coachability, community involvement and ability to launch a technology-focused company in Manitoba.
Winner: David Peters, Construction Clock
👀 Top Startup to Watch presented by North Forge
Awarded to an early-stage company that will be the “most likely to succeed.”
Winner: GlitchSecure
👩💻 Women in Tech presented by WeMB
Awarded to a founder recognized for her entrepreneurial success in launching a technology-focused company in Manitoba. This individual has also demonstrated a passion for supporting gender equity and promoting women’s advancement, making a lasting impact on Manitoba’s technology ecosystem.

🥇 Leader of the Year presented by Manitoba Innovates
Awarded to an executive-level individual who has not only had a significant impact on the success of their organization, but also serves as inspiration to their colleagues/teams, customers and community.
Winner: Noah Palansky, Taiv
🔥 Tech Company of the Year presented by RBCx
Awarded to a later-stage companies that is having a positive impact on Manitoba’s tech ecosystem.
