đ Tech Thursday Events
This September we welcomed four more speakers from the Winnipeg startup community to our Tech Thursdays events. A big thank you to Brent Lamoureux from Green Home Automation, Leanne Bryk from Wrapped & Co., Matt Grabau from Rocket Rez, and Chris Hall from Portal Bots.
Iâm thrilled to announce our October lineup:
October 6th: Scott Bodnarek, co-founder at SnapCash, on building a modern payroll solution. Location: Wee Johnnyâs Pub.
October 13th: ProductTank Meetups return to Winnipeg with a panel on âHow to Build Customer-First Productsâ. The panel includes Elizabeth Corbett (Product Lead @ Neo Financial), Jeff Arsenio (Director of Product @ SkipTheDishes), and Alex Karpyza (Sr. Director of Product Management @ LotLinx).
October 20th: Brown Eagle, founder of Decolonized Finance, on creating a financial eco-system and digital identification for Indigenous peoples.
October 27th: James Schellenberg, CEO of Cubresa Inc., on using the Red-Purple-Blue strategy when building a product.
All Tech Thursdays start at 4:30pm, and take place at the Kingâs Head Pub (with the exception of the October 6th event which will be at Wee Johnnyâs). Stick around for StartUp TNTâs happy hours after each event.

ComIT, a training program which links people struggling to overcome employment barriers with companies, graduated a class from their .NET course in Winnipeg. They will soon graduate a class of Indigenous learners from their NodeJS and ReactJS courses.

Cubresa, a PET nuclear imaging manufacturer and developer, installs NuPET insert system at Case Western Reserve University to support a world class research program.
PortalBots, a virtually-controlled robotics experience, has released a new game mode called âSprocket Leagueâ - a 3v3 robot soccer experience.
QDoc, a virtual medical care platform, are starting their 4th project with Red River College and have grown their engineering team to 9 developers.
The Half Circle, a cannabis delivery platform, is launching its first 3 cannabis retailers onto their app.
