Go Oil, a mobile oil change and vehicle maintenance services headquartered in Winnipeg, has sold 366 franchise units and has expanded its services in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Florida. Go Oil is preparing an expansion to Australia sometime in the next year.
Neo Financial launches their new hybrid Neo Money™ card as a Debit Card Alternative. The card provides credit card rewards at more than 10,000 rewards partners to those who prefer to use a debit card.
VidDay, a group video making platform, has launched CineGreet – a video service that allows cinemas to offer personalized video greetings on the big screen before the movie starts. CineGreet expands VidDay’s reach into the cinema industry, providing an engaging experience for moviegoers worldwide.
Conquest Planning, a technology platform modernizing financial planning, has partnered with RBC. RBC will leverage Conquest Planning’s software to enable every RBC customer to get the advice they need, when and where they want it.
SkipTheDishes launches an Inflation Cookbook, Canada's first-ever AI-powered tool to provide Canadians with healthier food options for less. The cookbook tracks the top ten food items that are trending downwards and upwards in price each week.
💸 Funding
Typha Co., a company that harvests Cattails (a plant that contributes to the eutrophication of Lake Winnipeg) and turns them into nutrient rich soil and growing media, has raised investment as part of their seed round and are seeking capital to close off the round.

RampUp Weekend, North Forge's premier event that brings developers, designers, makers, and entrepreneurs together to build a minimum viable product (MVP) with the opportunity to pitch to win $10,000, is coming up on May 26 to May 28, 2023. Registration is free, sign up here.
Beginning June 1st 2023, the Manitoba Tech Accelerator is offering office space to eligible tenants for $10 per sq ft all in. The space offers subsidized rent, free coffee, access to boardrooms, fast internet and participation in entrepreneurial events. Desks can also be rented for $50 a month.
