January was a great month for Tech Thursdays! ZenFri Inc. and Princess Auto released new mobile game: Powerfist Defence Force - a first-of-its-kind, retail-integrated mobile game that can be played anywhere, with bonuses for playing in Princess Auto stores.
Gryd has announced their newest tech for pre-development visualization in 8K quality, allowing for projects big and small to be visualized before they are built.
💸 Funding + Mergers
Flightyfelon Games, a local indie game studio, has secured $500K+ in funding from the Canada Media Fund under the Commercial Project Program for their game FREERIDE, an action-RPG that is not-so-secretly a personality test.
Manoverboard, a web design studio serving conscious and nonprofit organizations, has merged with Mangrove, another Certified B Corp agency out of California.
